Welcome to The Tone Rangers Choir. We are a fun and friendly mixed voices Community Choir that sing everything from folk to rock, musical theatre to pop and everything in between.
Most of our songs are performed acapella with occasional backing of guitar and ukulele. We like to sing unaccompanied as it helps us listen to each other and love the sound of the human voice.
Sometimes we invite professional musicians to perform live with us and we also encourage our members that play instruments to play a solo or two.
Classic songs by Carole King, Paul Simon and The Beatles are firm favourites but each term we like to explore different decades and genres of music.
Last year we had a lot of fun with an Epic Eighties term whilst this year we sang Beyonce for the first time and learnt some beautiful Medieval Christmas tunes.
The choir is led by singer/songwriter, teacher and professional musician Sharon Lewis. Sharon has been writing, teaching and producing music for many years and has released albums with labels such as Warner Brothers, Island and Rough Trade Records. During this time Sharon honed her skills as a singer/musician, performer and arranger.
Bringing her musical experience to the choir Sharon explains “I have a great passion for vocal harmonies and enjoy writing my own arrangements of songs. Creating a choir felt like a natural evolution in my musical journey”

At the end of every term the choir perform live concerts around Sussex and meet regularly for socials and local walks.
If you would like to join our choir just turn up to one of our weekly sessions. It's free for first timers. We also offer taster sessions at the beginning of each term.
